The Higg Index is a tool that was developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) to assess and measure the environmental and social sustainability performance of apparel and footwear products and supply chains. It's widely used in the fashion and textile industry to evaluate the sustainability impact of products and processes.

The Higg Index encompasses a range of indicators and metrics to assess factors like water use, chemical use, labour conditions, and, relevant to your question, greenhouse gas emissions. The Higg Index includes a specific module known as the "Higg Facility Environmental Module" (Higg FEM), which focuses on environmental sustainability, including the measurement and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions.

The Higg FEM includes a set of standardized questions and metrics for assessing and reporting an organization's environmental performance, including its carbon footprint. This aligns with the broader sustainability goals of the SAC.
